I had to go back to Rapid City again for business and this time I drove so I would not get sick on the plane. I drove myself to Cheyenne and then me and Amy (co-worker) drove together to Rapid City. Robyn another co-worker from Montana had never been to Mt. Rushmore so four of us decided to go. We ended up going in a limo because it was not that expensive with four of us splitting the cost and none of us knew how to drive to Mt. Rushmore. So we took a limo and it was
soooo fun. Then on the way home me and Amy drove to see Devils Tower because I had never seen it before. It is has been in several movies....the most famous is Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind. Also, on that drive we saw 4 bald eagles but when we stopped to take pictures they would fly away because we were in Amy's husband's diesel truck and it made too much noise when we stopped. Don't ever drive around the state of Wyoming because there is nothing but barren land.
This is Devils Tower. We did not have time to drive right up to it but you can drive up to it and there is a 1 1/4 mile path that goes around the base of it that we would have done if we had the time.
