California Trip

So the last part of my summer vacation I went to LA to visit my cousins and to see Depeche Mode. Here are some pictures of our adventures.

We went to to see the Queen Mary boat in Long Beach. It was an old ocean liner that was like a cruise ship and carried troops in World War II. It is now docked at the Long Beach harbor and is a hotel. It is best known for being haunted and people stay there to try to see ghosts. This was a freaky room on the boat where the umbrellas were floating in the air??



This was a VIP room by the Queen Mary where a radio station was having a Beatles Music Celebration.

One of the funniest things that we all laughed about was Trisha's Shruken Head Syndrome. Her head is a lot smaller than body and she would do exaggerated impressions like the one below the whole trip. We peed our pants several times!

Morgan is going to get braces in September...........here she is at the dentist getting spacers in her teeth to get ready for the braces.

Lastly the poor pups.......they have had a tough time lately. They have been on most all of my travels this summer and have not had a home. To Boise and then to LA. While in Boise, Maddy got bit by Brady (Bill's dog) because I think they had a skuffle over food. I had to take her to the vet and they cleaned and bandaged the wound and put her on some drugs.....the bite wound is now healed. But then on our trip to California the pups got fleas.......poor things.....they have had to have tons of baths and different medicines to get rid of them. Also, I took them in to get shaved.....they look really ugly now and will not let me take a picture...LOL. The picture below is of them in Boise before they got shaved.

Camping in Canada

So after a little stay in Boise I flew from Boise to Canada to see Tarene and Lane. I try to go to Canada every year, but I missed last summer so Tarene made me go this year since I am jobless. So the second day I get there we decide to go on a camping adventure. They bought a little camper and I looked at the map and picked out a spot to go to. I wanted to go to Manitoba because I have never been there before. Here are the pictures to see how the adventure unfolded - and more to come when Tarene sends me the pictures from her camera.

So here is how we had to pull the camper.......oh my. I was seriously dying about this. People were staring at us so bad. It was for sure a sight.......especially when Lane added the canoe on top of the car. Wow..........what a sight.


So here is the little camper the three of us stayed in (four people later in the trip). I was going to die of claustrophobia, but at least a bear was not going to eat us.


Ya...ya...ya I know what you are all thinking???? Rape and Honey???? Well I was told that Rape is a type of seed.....so this town has a lot of seed and honey.....but notice how funny it is how there is a crime stoppers sign below....LOL!

Our camping spot in Manitoba (there is a big river to the side of it). That night we were all sitting around the campfire and we heard a big splash in the river......instantly me and Tarene looked at each other and she yelled "Bear".....we immediately took off running to inside the camper and started yelling and laughing because we did not even think twice about running. The boys were still sitting outside all cool and they say....come out girls it was a raccoon...we were like no that was something bigger. They said "well whatever it was, it and everything else was scared away by all the yelling and screaming you guys just did."

Good Ol' Boise

After the McCall trip I stayed in Boise for awhile to hang out with friends. It was good to see everyone......I sometimes miss Boise but then while I was there I hated it because it was so damn hot.

McCall Trip

For the Cox family vacation this year we went to McCall, Idaho. We stayed in my sister's cabin in McCall and went boating, hiking, and golfing. It was fun and the McCall area is so pretty!
